We all know about the Oktoberfest that happens annually in Munich, Bavaria but there is another festival which happens during April month is the Spring festival or ‘Frühlingsfest‘ as it is called in German. Few days back I was talking to my colleagues during lunch and we were discussing about movies, how I love movies and I saw Fast and Furious 7 in English. One of my colleagues Oskar told about Rush Movie and the acting was done by an Austrian actor Daniel Brühl. I told him that I`m an F1 fan and I had watched Rush movie long back and I loved it. Then they started discussing about Oktoberfest and then they told there is another festival like that but on a smaller scale which was called Frühlingsfest which was not aware till then. We then decided that we will attend the Spring Festival in Theresienwiese.

We started early from office and decided that we meet at train station at 4pm. I gathered near the entrance of Theresienweise and then my colleagues Daniela, Sebastian and Daniel came. We then went to the fest and walked to see what all rides and food was there. It was very casual for everyone but this was very new experience for me, I had seen festivals in India and all of the things like food stalls, rides, entertainment and dance places were same like India. Then we came across one of the things which was different than Indian festivals, one of the Biergarten where the photo of a King was there, Daniela told me that it was the photo of King Ludwig III, the last King of Bavaria. One of the biergarten`s endorsed photo of King Ludwig III which denotes that organization that served wine was started during the times of King Ludwig III, before the 1st world war and they have been in business from long time.

We went there and there was German music being played and we ordered wines and milkshakes. I was amazed to see 1 litre BIG mugs in which wine was served. I had never seen such BIG mugs and people drinking so much wine and enjoying.

We had a lot of good conversation and then Daniela took a picture of me. 🙂 She was very sweet and later sent that picture to me and said “Hope You enjoyed the evening!” 🙂

I was very happy and then an English music started and I recognized the song from the music…..Summer of ’69 by Bryan Adams, I looked at Daniela and she looked at me and said “Do you know this song???” I said “Yes” and she asked “Do you want to Dance?” I said we will dance after you finish your drink. She said, “After I finish this drink, I will have one more”. We could see people dancing, standing on the benches and enjoying the music.

Then after we all had drinks, we started going towards train station to drop of Daniela as my room was nearby at walking distance. Daniela was a bit drunk (Well not that she can`t handle) but as a courtesy, I accompanied her to the train station and she gave me a very friendly hug and said goodbye. 🙂

I then came to my room and was very happy to have enjoyed a great day after long time and we had a great friendship thereafter 🙂
